Shawn Patrick Bracken, began his career under the pseudonym Jody Stapleton, fronting the roots driven foursome The Stapletons. The band was nominated for Best Rock Band and won Best New Artist at the Cincinnati Entertainment Awards, toured the country and eventually signed with Tinderbox Records.
The long nights spent on the road was the perfect backdrop for Bracken to evolve as the songwriter he has become today. Questions to God, hope, and redemption is intertwined with personal accounts of the path that is sometimes wide and sometimes narrow.
Bracken has released two solo albums, 2014's Wolf Angel and 2016's Roe Street Cathedral under the pseudonym Jody Stapleton. Bracken also moonlights in the project, Redemption Brothers, with long time friend and upright bassist, Sam Wulfeck.
Writing has begun for a new album that will be under his given name, but no release date has been set.
