It’s a story told time and time again. A well-traveled, down on his luck music industry casualty (singer/songwriter) has a chance meeting at a party with another jaded and unfulfilled musician (bass/piano/vocals) whose musical journey has been just as twisted. Over some whiskey and beer the gentleman trade stories and battle scars, exchange numbers, shake hands and go their separate ways. A day later and still nursing a hangover most likely from the whiskey, but more importantly from the talk, the jaded gent reluctantly shoots a text from his deer stand to last nights troubled troubadour. Little did he know that tortured soul had been touting about the connection to another longtime friend and fellow road warrior. (Drums) They all agreed to meet up for a drink and to just “see what happens”…After a few months of playing as a three piece, the trio reached out to long time friend and former band mate (Lead Guitar) and the line-up was complete.
Enter “SOMEDAY MORNING”- A four piece band from small town Ohio with nothing to prove and nothing to lose. Troy Brown (Vocals/Guitar), Reed Jones (Lead Guitar/Mandolin/Banjo/Vocals), Jordan Powell (Bass/Piano/Vocals) and Dann Burd (Drums) mix great story telling with simple arrangements and melodies that go down as easy as your favorite domestic light and cold. It’s country, it’s rock, but at its core it’s just a group of blue collar guys doing what they love.
While there has been a lot of combined success with previous ventures (Small Town Sleeper, American Cherry, Audie Blaylock & Redline) it has been the failures that have truly shaped them and created the blueprint for what exactly they want, and what exactly they don’t want.
Someday Morning is currently working on a debut album to be released in 2018.
