Learning Through Art, Inc. brings back its popular Crown Jewels of Jazz® Gala in an exciting new format from August 21 – 24 with a four-day Crown Jewels of Jazz® Heritage Festival. Jazz, America’s classical music, takes center stage for four nights in the Festival’s seven-block Global Jazz Village in Over- the-Rhine with main stage in Washington Park and St. Gregory Street in Mt. Adams with main stage in Seasongood Pavilion.
The multi-day event features international and GRAMMY®-award-winning jazz artists including Diane Schuur, Gregory Porter, Kathy Wade, Sherrie Maricle and the Diva Jazz Orchestra, Mandy Gaines, Marc Fields, Phil DeGreg and the Samba Jazz Syndicate.
The evening concerts give festivalgoer’s a full experience with the purchase of the Bands for Books Alive! ® Wristband.
For just $15 for a one-day band or $40 for all four days, fans can expand their jazz experience. Participating restaurants and retailers offer live jazz performances and a 20% discount on food and/or merchandise when presenting a Band for Books Alive! ® Wristband.
Limited Edition VIP wristbands will include, four “Meet the Artists Receptions” sponsored by Blue Wisp Jazz Club following each of the evening concerts. All proceeds benefit Learning Through Art’s national award-winning, four-time Emmy®-nominated Books Alive! For Kids® performing arts literacy program. Bands for Books Alive! ® are available at the Aronoff Center Box Office and online at www.learningthroughart.com.
