"Livin' in the Cin" Generates Awareness and Excitement

In June, the Cincinnati USA Regional Tourism Network (RTN) deployed a new initiative called "Livin' in the Cin," a social network of six prominent local online influencers who create and share content about the region. The goal is to generate awareness and excitement about the region and broaden residents' perceptions of the area from a place they live to a place they rave about to family and friends as a visitor destination.

Throughout the six-month timeframe, which raps up in November, contributors receive interactive "missions" reflecting the theme of "Hidden Gems in Cincinnati USA." Their objective is to explore the region in their own unique ways and document their experiences. From these experiences, contributors create entertaining and engaging content including blog posts, photos and videos; provide personalized education and information about the region and its attractions; and offer first-hand views that the RTN can use to market the region to visitors.

"Sometimes we take for granted all the hidden gems we have right in our own backyard," said Linda Antus, president and CEO of the RTN. "It's exciting to see the strong sense of local pride as our passionate contributors become reacquainted with and share all there is to do in Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky. "

All Cincinnati USA residents are encouraged to:
Try It: Inspire each other to explore the diversity of our region,
Like It: There's something for everyone! Discover your new favorite hidden gem, and
Share It: Contribute to the Cincinnati USA story by sharing your positive experiences with family and friends, so they get out and have fun, too!

"Livin' In The Cin provides an opportunity for me to share some of my favorite little-known adventures in Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky with residents and tourists. I also enjoy learning about new places that other contributors are inspired to visit," says contributor Paige E. Malott of CincyWhimsy.com. "Livin' In The Cin is beneficial for both locals and visitors as it shares a personal perspective on dining and entertainment. It's an online edition of your best friend who knows all the cool places in the city!"
