While originally from sunny Florida, the smokey and emotionally dynamic music of Kim Taylor was birthed from the rolling hills within the regionally ambiguous, socially complex milieu of Cincinnati. Only the multifaceted cultural smattering within America’s first great boom town could have cultivated the wide range of pensive, soaring, and intimate songs that make up Little Miracle. A favorite of NPR’s World Cafe, and handpicked by Ron Sexsmith, Grace Potter & The Nocturnals, and Over the Rhine to support.
Taylor's music has appeared on: Smallville, ABC's Cyberbully, The Unit, One Tree Hill, Ghost Whisperer, Flashpoint, Eli Stone, Hawthorne, Army Wives and most recently Taylor is the music behind Revlon's Run/Walk Charity commercial.
Taylor has supported and/or toured with: Grace Potter and the Nocturnals, Ron Sexsmith, Kasey Chambers, Greg Laswell, Over the Rhine, Ben Sollee, Maria Muldaur, Ollabelle, Aqualung, Grant Lee Phillips, and many others.
Most recently, Kim Taylor stars in the Sundance Film Festival and Berlinale selected film, I Used To Be Darker.
“Organic… exciting. You can’t help but be captured by her writing.” – David Dye, The World Cafe
