Indie-pop rockers, Nick D’ and The Believers, will perform at MOTR Pub on Friday, July 1 at 8 p.m. The performance is part of a summer tour promoting the release of a brand new EP, Crown, scheduled for release fall 2016. This month the band is also WNKU’s Local Discovery of the Month!
The Columbus-based band released the first single from their forthcoming EP in April, providing what The Lantern hails as “the most exuberant dynamic out of the band’s entire collection" The track reached the number one requested spot on WWCD 102.5 The Alternative Station’s Top 5 at 5 p.m. before joining the station’s repeating playlist.
Nick D’ and The Believers will release the second single from Crown this July. “We’ve been playing the new song at live shows, testing out audience reaction,” said frontman and primary songwriter, Nick D’Andrea. “People can’t help but move, and that’s what we love to see.”
Repeatedly praised for a high-energy live show, Nick D’ and The Believers recently welcomed two new musicians to their live set to suit an expanding sound. “The new EP is sonically larger,” said D’Andrea. “We were lucky to find new members who could do the music justice and mesh well with the group’s overall vibe.” The outfit’s artistic adjustment speaks to their collective promise, “fans should have as much fun as we do.”
