Lung will release their first full length album, Bottom of the Barrel, this month at their CD release show prior to performing over 60 shows across the US scheduled for the next 3 months. Formed in spring of 2016, Lung has played in 33 states, performed in national festivals, and has their music airing on radio stations internationally.

March 18, 2017 marks the release date for their first full length album, Bottom of the Barrel. The much anticipated album comes after critical acclaim for their live performance and demo released in summer of 2016. The show will be at The Northside Tavern with Pop Empire and Pleasure Boys (Louisville).

Lung is a collaboration between innovative musicians Kate Wakefield (cellist/vocalist) and Daisy Caplan (drums). The two- piece is based out of Cincinnati, Ohio. Their sound is raw, evocative, and melodically driven. Musically, Lung defies conventional genre criteria, bringing the nostalgia of early grunge/post-rock and combining it with heavy, harmonically rich ballades.

Lung has been featured in print and online publications such USA Today, Women In Rock, and Never Nervous. Cleveland.com currently lists them as one of the “35 bands to hear in Ohio”. Kate and Daisy are not new to the road. Both have performed in multiple touring projects, including: Foxy Shazam, Butterfly Assassins, Babe Rage, and solo projects.
