Summer may be coming to an end but Louisville KY is keeping the summer musical festival alive with the return of its annual “Louder Than Life.” If you are a fan of heavy music, bourbon and epic man food (And who isn’t?), this show is an absolute can’t miss.
Louisville’s Champion Park will be home for the annual two-day event taking place September 30-October 1st. Camping is available on site for those planning on making the trip and staying up late for the after parties.
And speaking of parties, let’s take a moment to check out this truly impressive line-up. Ozzy Osbourne will headline the event, reuniting with guitar god, Zakk Wylde. This alone is enough for many hard rock fans to make the show. Rob Zombie, Five Finger Death Punch and Prophets of Rage will also take the stage along throughout the weekend with several other bands hard and heavy bands.
Besides the great live music, The Louder Than Life music festival is known for serving “Epic Man Food” as well as Kentucky’s greatest contribution to man-kind, Bourbon. Now you may be asking yourself, “What is Epic Man Food?” It is food that is full of flavor, over indulgent and served in generous portions. Some of the great foods that concert goers can expect are, Chicago styled hot dogs, plenty of slow cooked BBQ, Tex Mex and much, much more. Far better than the usual festival offerings of over-cooked hamburgers and stale soft pretzels topped with some sort of watery cheese sauce.
With over 20 different brands of bourbon at the event, there is something for every fan of Kentucky’s trademark dark liquor. Bulleit, Jim Beam, Knob Creek and plenty of others will be on hand all weekend. Remember to enjoy responsibly, and camping is available if you sample too much bourbon or put yourself into a food coma.
