Join Arnold’s, Maker’s Mark, and The Women’s Groovement Organization as they celebrate female musicians in Cincinnati. Women’s Groovement’s mission is to connect female artists within their communities to support each other, collaborate and create special art and music events.
The organization was looking for the right venue to host their first annual music festival and realized they had the perfect place. Event Organizer, Lisa Sullivan says, “Arnold’s is not only one of the best music venues in the city, but it is also owned by a woman and has a female executive chef. It’s honestly perfect” They then teamed up with local Maker’s Mark rep Rawnica Dillingham to offer some drink specials and some awesome free Women’s Groovement branded swag.
The festival will feature 6 female led bands over 2 nights. That in and of itself would be pretty awesome but what is making this event really special is there will be two all-female Cincinnati super groups formed exclusively to headline each night. Friday will be “The Lady Parts” with members of Queen City Sisters, Silver Wings and Krystal Peterson and the Queen City Band. Saturday night will feature The “Dirty Birds” with members of Twig and Leaf, Highly Likely, Harlot and Chelsea Ford and the Trouble.
