Shows Not to Miss at The Southgate House Revival in December

Stop in The Southgate House Revival this month for an amazing line-up of shows! It's getting cold outside, so no better place to warm up in than tSGHR.

On December 7th, make sure to check out Armchair Boogie! Hailing from Stevens Point, Wisconsin, they can be defined by their pickin’ skills and infectious grooves. Augie Dougherty (banjo, vocals) and Ben Majeska (guitar, vocals) began playing under the name before becoming complete with the addition of Eli Frieders (bass) and solidification of Denzel Connor (drums) as the driving rhythm section behind a bluegrass, up-tempo, jammin-funkgrass outfit.

December 11th, run, don't walk to see Nikki Lane. Lane is one of Nashville’s most gifted country and rock songwriters who has supported the likes of Chris Stapleton, Marcus King, Dave Matthews Band, Cody Jinks, and Shakey Graves.

Jeremy Pinnell, Justin Wells, and Adam Lee will start off your NYE weekend celebration right on December 30th! Pinnell is a certified local legend. His voice can touch on wry, jubilant, and debauched - all in a single line. Wells voice packs a Kentucky-sized punch. You can call the his sound Americana, call it blue-collar country, call it fiery folk, call it not to be missed out on. Adam Lee’s newest release, The Wilderness Years, tells stories of struggle, frustration, and eventual perseverance. Recorded at The Lexington Recording Co. with Duane Lundy (Ringo Starr, Joe Pug, Horse Feathers) the EP offers up a shimmering cinematic landscape and finds Lee penning some of his best songs to date.

On NYE, get ready for Reverend Peyton's Big Damn Band and Joe's Truck Stop to blow the doors off The Southgate House Revival. ReverendPeyton’s Big Damn Band not only capture a big sound but they also put on a big and satisfying performance when they play live. Joe's Truck Stop's unique sound is characterized by traditional vocal harmonies, Bluegrass drive, wild fiddling, hot guitar picking, doghouse slapping, and the Honky Tonk and Swing sounds of old.
