Join the students of the School of Rock Mason for a Cincinnati Tribute – Our Homage to Local Bands, on Saturday at The Sonic Boom Room in Mason! Local bands represented either call or have called Cincinnati home. This is a kid-friendly event open to all! 

Lords of the Trident are touring in support of their latest and 7th studio album Shadows From The Past and are stopping at Urban Artifact on Thursday, January 17th with Automaton and Siegelord.

CSO Music Director Louis Langrée describes Rachmaninoff’s Piano Concerto No. 3 as “one of the most challenging pieces for any pianist,” but reassures that the work is in good hands with the “wonderfully skilled, thoughtful, and imaginative Kirill Gerstein.” 

The wunderkinds of the Cincinnati music scene, This Pine Box are partnering with Soul Step Records to release their debut LP The Way Out on vinyl. 

Happy New Year to us! The Pistol Mystics are dropping their sophomore EP Rise From the Ashes tonight at Midnight. Earlier this evening, they released a video for “Lovesick,” a single from the EP.

2018 has been an interesting year. It’s one that shall henceforth be referred to as the, “Year of the Seriously WTF?” because every week brought us something we never thought would or could happen. Thank goodness for the sweet escape of great music, right? Here’s what got me through this bizarro year:

Rosewood Coast has been on a roll as of late. They have two singles released on major music platforms, had their music featured in an independent film, played their first show, and had the time of their lives.

Get your New Year’s plans locked in! As always in the Queen City there are a plethora of choices to go get some music in. Heck, make friends with your Uber driver and have them drive you all over town to check out more than one! 

Susie Benchasil Seiter guest conducts the Cincinnati Pops Orchestra, ringing in the New Year with the sultry sounds of vocalist Ryan Silverman.
