Review: Twenty One Pilots at Nationwide Arena
Twenty One Pilots may just be the biggest band in Ohio, as evidenced by their ability to sell out all major venues in Columbus every time they come to town. On the first night of the band’s 18’-19’ Bandito tour, a front row fan was seen holding a cardboard sign that read “I camped for 9 days for this."

Review: Rock on the Range Review 2018
It is pure mayhem and chaos to attend an all American heavy metal music festival. Rock on the Range brings more than one hundred and twenty thousand metal heads over the course of three days to Mapfre Stadium in Columbus Ohio, and the result is one of the largest and most hectic parties in the entire country.

Review: Louder than Life
Last weekend Louder than Life proved to be one of the greatest hard rock music festivals in the country. This year’s lineup featured hard hitting bands such as Rob Zombie, Incubus, Prophets of Rage, Stone Sour, and the Prince of Darkness himself Ozzy Osbourne. This year’s festival was truly a special opportunity to see Ozzy Osborne, the man who invented Heavy Metal with his band Black Sabbath in 1970.

Review: MidPoint Music Festival
This past weekend, Midpoint Music Festival took place inside of the Taft Theatre and Masonic Center in the heart of downtown Cincinnati. The venue change gave the festival a very different feeling compared to the outdoor location in Over the Rhine where Band of Horses headlined last year. The Taft Theatre / Masonic Center featured unique historical architecture that gave attendees a more refined experience and provided a centralized location for the many bands to showcase their music. Going to this festival gave me the feeling of a classy night out to the ballet or opera and exploring the different ball rooms was an adventure in its self.

Review: Ubahn Fest
This weekend was Ubahn Festival’s third year under the streets of Cincinnati with rap superstar headliners 2 Chainz, Big Sean, and Gucci Mane. Steve Aoki brought an energetic cake-throwing DJ performance to a mixed crowd of EDM and hip-hop fans. Third time is charm for Ubahn Festival seeing as how this year was the most spectacular party yet.

Review: Forecastle Music and Arts Festival
Forecastle Music and Arts Festival has been a tradition of the Louisville scenic waterfront for the last 15 years. Since 2002, Forecastle has grown into a diverse, eclectic festival that has hosted big names such as Jack White, Modest Mouse, Robert Plant of Led Zeppelin, and many more. This year Forecastle kept the tradition of diverse music selection rolling with headliners Weezer, LCD Soundsystem, and Odesza.

Review: Avenged Sevenfold
Last night at Riverbend Music Center one of the greatest modern heavy metal bands, Avenged Sevenfold performed a thrilling hour and a half long show to a packed house. The first half of the set consisted of hits spanning the last decade. In the second half of the show a giant 40-foot dead skeleton astronaut descended out of the darkness of the ceiling which marked the transition to the new songs from the album The Stage.

Get Ready for Phantogram to be in Your Face
A band’s name is not always a direct reflection of what their music aims to achieve. Sometimes it’s derived from fond memories or catchy word combinations. Sometimes it’s completely made up or nonsensible. That’s not what I’m talking about here. A phantogram can...
