Sometimes when you meet an artist you can physically see the passion they carry for their craft in the way they “glow.” Local musician, Deuces II, simply vibrates with that energy.

I didn’t really know what I was walking into when I set up an interview with Joey from local Cincinnati band PHYSCO, but I left ecstatic to share his story.

Dreamfest is the love project of Dustin Smith, lead vocalist of Dustin Smith and the Daydreamers. The festival, which takes place mid-June on empty farmland in Ansonia, Ohio, centers around Dustin’s band with a brilliant line-up of other artists ranging from jam band, reggae, and indie to psychedelic rock.

Noah spoke so proudly of this album, of the opportunity to birth this collaborative project with friends. I could tell this was more than just music to him, it was a celebration of so many things.
