It's almost that time again for our favorite time of the year, Tunes & Blooms at the Cincinnati Zoo!

If there was ever a perfect line-up, this is it. Possessed By Paul James, The Tillers and Willy Tea Taylor will be gracing the Sanctuary stage at The Southgate House Revival on Friday, June 16th!

This has been a horrible year for musicians. Kelly Thomas put out the call in early November for a Secret Santa mission for local full time musicians, bartenders, security and other staff in the music industry, who have been crushed by the pandemic. The response has been overwhelming, but you can still help!

While we have all been dealing with our quarantine however we have been dealing with it. Some of us have had to still work, and some are not and are at home trying to figure out if that table really needs to be cleaned again, I mean it’s been an hour? Music has been there for us. To keep us sane amidst a pandemic the likes of which we have never seen before.

Cincinnati CityBeat threw one hell of a party last night to celebrate all the great things we have going on. Here are the winners!

On Thanksgiving Eve Arnold’s has teamed up with Jameson and The Tillers to offer the literally coolest giveaway Arnold’s has ever done. Having The Tillers booked on Thanksgiving Eve is honestly amazing enough, but they also have specials on Jameson cocktails and Jameson infused dinner specials all night. 

The new movie “The Mountain Minor” follows five generations of one family that moved from Eastern Kentucky to Cincinnati during the Great Depression. It is loosely based on writer/director Dale Farmer’s own family. Dale Farmer will conduct a Q&A, following screenings of his film at The Esquire Theatre on October 17 and 20. An after party will take place at Sitwell’s Coffee Shop, next door to the theatre, following the October 17 showing.

Saturday at Fountain Square is the perfect way to end your 4th of July weekend. The Tillers, Joseph Huber, and Truckstop Waterfall will be playing for your dancing delight. It’s free!

2018 has been an interesting year. It’s one that shall henceforth be referred to as the, “Year of the Seriously WTF?” because every week brought us something we never thought would or could happen. Thank goodness for the sweet escape of great music, right? Here’s what got me through this bizarro year:
