Opening Day is one of the most exciting days of the year in Cincinnati. The Moerlein Lager House is joining in on the celebrations with a FREE concert with The Tillers.
On Opening Day, the Moerlein Lager House will open its doors starting at 10 a.m., and have a Party Tent on the Event Lawn featuring a live concert by The Tillers with opening act Ricky Leighton from 12-4 p.m. The Moerlein Lager House is located at 115 Joe Nuxhall Way, adjacent to Great American Ball Park on the banks of the Ohio River.
The Tillers, who got their start playing in local Clifton bars, are coming home for the Opening Day Concert during their current tour with the Hackensaw Boys. Known for their Americana sound, The Tillers have released a number of albums including: 2008′s debut record Ludlow Street Rag, 2010′s By The Signs, 2011′s Wild Hog in the Woods, 2012′s Live from the Historic Southgate House, and 2013′s Hand On The Plow with many more releases.
The Moerlein Lager House will have their regular food and beverage service inside the Moerlein Lager House as well as offer food and beverage in the Opening Day Party tent with The Tillers. A full lineup of Moerlein Craft and guest beers will be featured including three one-off styles for the occasion. The one-off styles will be:
· 7th Inning Stretch - OTR Ale with Roasted Peanut and Caramel. Mimics the flavor and aroma of Cracker Jacks
· Mango Hefeweizen - Se7en Hefeweizen with Mango
· Hell-sicle - Helles with Orange and Vanilla
