This year marks the fifth year for Louder than Life, the return of Bourbon & Beyond, and the premiere of Hometown Rising. It’s an ambitious, multi-year plan that continues to evolve. Cincymusic chatted with Danny Hayes about the upcoming festivals and what it means to Louisville.  

We chatted with bassist and founding member Robby Takac about how digital tools have changed their songwriting, what continues to drive them after all these years, paying back their community, why it’s a smart idea to play QVC and whether the future looks any brighter these days.

Zombie and Manson (that sounds like an unlikely 2020 Presidential ticket, but, hey, these days anything is possible – Make America Goth Again!) started making music and broke out about the same time (mid/late ‘80s start, early/mid ‘90s break through).  

The blues is one of the factory’s oldest products, one of the few true American products being made. Like most products, it has benefited from being retooled by outside influences.
